This is a very simple application, which takes a text file containing
hex values for bytes and converts this into a binary file of the
represented data, ignoring comments.
Having written scripts and applications to perform this task several
times for past projects, I decided to write a version with a simple GUI
and comment support for my future use, and to make it freely available
to anyone else who finds it useful.
Example input text file with comments
Created example binary file opened within hex editor
The above images shows a section of an example input file (included
in the zip download), and the created binary file as shown within a
typical hex editor.
Usage is extremely straightforward - simply create the text file
containing the required data as hex pairs plus any comments; run
epBinaryFileMaker; select the input file and set output file, and
click the create button.
